Sept. 9. Wed A lovely day. Made prints of my big Labor Day pictures and took them to Mary's & McGregor's this noon. Mary played me "Only Me", arrayed in a shirt waist and petticoast and we all laughed at Alice's "life size" picture. To- night Rose Mills and her cousin Sara Browne called & staid an hour or so. Then I wrote long letters to Charlotte Iles and Kate Steele - and a shortish one to Mrs. Reading. Sept. 10. Thurs. Still very fine. Stopped at Ned's this noon and Mary came along & Ned interviewed her about going up the river. Someone trilled & I discovered Mrs. Bottum across the street with Lizzie & Hat McCurdy & "Hughey". Talked with them quite awhile, and walked up with them. Coming back I saw Edith at Ned's and walked up the hill with her. Tonight I went down to Mary's and sat on the piazza half-an-hour. Ed Teall and Jack Ballagh came and I went soon afterward. Mary walked up to the corner with me and we talked awhile. I found Ned waiting for me and left my wheel there. We took the car down to Edith's. Found her & Frederika on the piazza and later went up to see Edith's new room (at Elsie's) - very cozy and nice, indeed. F. is going to have a studio two days a week this winter in Power's Bldg. I rode my wheel home from Ned's. Bath & Bed. Sept. 11. Friday Still gorgeous weather. Saw the little Lyon's creamery get hurt by being thrown from his
