Lura & Mrs. B. & the Rogers girls came later and we began about 8:45. The room looked lovely - all trimmed with holly (the stairs were, too) and the tree was 3 trees, like a 3 masted schooner

We all sat around & the president stepped up & took a present off the tree (a yellow kid perfumery bottle for Mary) & then Mary did likewise &c. opening the present & reading the poems before the next was taken off. It was great sport. I got a "hurdy-gurdy" that plays a tune (?) A diamond ring
