". I got the most points - 143 in five games, but of course there was no pin, and I prob'ly won't do it again. We had such a nice supper - fried oysters, biscuits and coffee and "poems" and other "efforts" at table - where we sat an hour. Are invited to Lura's next time. I was a "gent" and played with Mrs. A.
first and Mrs. B. last. We were late home - 11:30 car! Oct. 24 Sat. J.G. came back on the Empire State today. Electricians &c. worked at the building & fixed a line of lights under the cornice. "A" in electric lights (or "A") on the roof. McKinley's picture surrounded and a shield & flags above - all for the big Republican parade tonight. Plymouth Ave. people were like mice busy and there was a line of light the length of the street each side - Brewster's Gordon's, Babcock's, Pond's, Chamberlain's, Ford's Ely's &c &c. were all beautiful trimmed I expected Edith & Fredricka, but they didn't
