Sunday, with skurries of snow. JW's wedding day. We sent him a telegram "Congratulations, best wishes and welcome to the new silent partner." I went to Dr. Scranton's & made an appointment for dentistry. He was pulling deaf-mute's teeth - Such cries! Tonight I staid home and read &c. Jan. 7. Thurs. Cold & clear. Mary stopped for me tonight & we stopped for Lura & all went up to Matie's to supper. She showed us her new waists - made - & before we came down stairs Lura began to cry & wanted to go home.
