dinner - took Diana out for a
constitutional. Went around Plymouth Ave.,
Brooks Ave. &
Genesee St., West Ave. to
Kenwood to call on
Lew & Alice
Jones - but they were not home. Tho't I'd stop at Mae's, and found her giggling over
"Sentimental Tommy" and John a regular Du Maurier man - in corduroy
"knickers" & working to color his pipe! Had a "bully" visit (as
John
would say) They simply made me stay to
pancakes & coffee on the kitchen table - a nice chat first. Then
upstairs with Mae, who read me old
letters of Ella's. Then a chat
with John - then the delicious
supper & much visiting. Then
John read us a story and we talked it
over and branched off on to all sorts of things till it came 8:30
and Di and I simply had to go. N.Y. papers,
cider and writing.
Nov. 9, Monday.
Stopped at Ned's at 5:30 - till 6, for
a little chat and rode Diana over to gym.
later. Got rather tired tonight - someway. Went in with Ned & Rose a few minutes and then home & read.
Nov. 10. Tuesday.
Nice today. Shopped some. At supper we got to talking about the
cinematographe and so, afterward Claude
& I rode down to the Wonderland Musee, to see it.
There was a variety performance first - "specialty artists" and "feeders"
and infant phenomenons & cornet ladies &c
