Jan. 14. Thursday A bright lovely day. J.G. in Washington, delivering his message, and J.W. & bride retuning tonight. Busy all day making out new blanks. Took my Kodak down this p.m. and got some groups. Gilmore - CFB's draughting room (with James Struble) & ours Also the Cutler &(bldgs) and the cute little house overhanging the river on Exchange St. (where I walked up to take the car. I even went up on the roof late this p.m as I had a feeling for wasting films. Walked home with Mary this noon and met Ned. Didn't go to Gymnasium tonight but went to bed rather early - after reading. Jan 15. Friday Cloudier. J.W didn't come down at all today but we telephoned him. I staid down this noon. Went in to Gorton & McCabe's & had a long talk with Matie (about Lura - &other things) then went to Ned's & Edith took our picture and then found the film had been put in her camera wrong side out! I went to Sibley's to lunch - and was very busy all day - looking up clippings & chatting with Gilmore & Martha. Tonight I went to Hovey's & Thompson's & after supper dressed & went to the 12 P.L.L. pedro Club at Mrs. Weaver's. I was too late to stop for Mary & Nellie, but they were in the car - also Ned & Edith - we 5 were the first ones there too. Matie & Lura came soon after & M. called Mary & me upstairs & gave Mary a little gold chain & me a lovely lawn

collar , trimmed with Valenciennes lace- such as I've always admired & so dainty & pretty.
