after that. I was awfully tired, standing so long, but it didn't
interfere with enjoying the ride home. It's just 3 1/2 miles from our
house to the Driving park. Mama went to church to-night &
Claude to Charella's.
Frank & Helen Davis came over. Helen rode
Kate's wheel, which has just arrived by
express. It's a pretty "Spaulding". She was
very entertaining, as usual. Mama
came before they went. Later I read some, and wrote.
June 11. Thurs.
Pleasant. Stopped for Ned after supper
& we rode our wheels down to Edith's. Were going to stop at Freddie's but "Charlie
" was there. Elsie, Ida & Harry were looking at pocket Kodak pictures on the piazza - some very good ones taken
Elsie's
wedding anniversary day.Edith
took us up into her room & we sat & talked a good while.
Edith has to work nights next week at
Eastman's. Stays till nearly 7 now.
"Papa"
had been down and
Edith told us about him. We rode home
State St.
way met ever so many people who had been to the "Red
Men's" parade. I rode home with Ned & then she rode to the corner to me.
Miss Nichols was having her commencement party
& there was music & dancing.
June 12. Friday.
A perfectly beautuful June day. J.G. rode his bicycle down for the first time - and told
me about it! Mrs. C. came in to see if he got
there safely. I went thro' Gibbs St. at noon (it
seemed too nice to go home.) Met Frank
Davis & he invited me home to dinner with him. I
declined, but rode to Prince St. He told me about
1896.
