J.G. was "busy" as usual. (J.W. went to N.Y. last night) & I, in consequence. Staid down to lunch at Sibley's - & ate with Emma Lynch - Matie & Lura gave me messages from my friends the Dr. & Mr. Degraff! Tonight we went to the theatre - "Marie Antoinette Fete." Mary, Emma, Nellie Mac Ned, Edith, Charlotte & Mrs. D. Helen's name was announced for an Honorable Mention and the entertainment was very nice. Rose didn't look particularly pretty in a white wig, but Gertrude Clark looked very cute. We staid & watched the dancing &c. afterward. Claude came for me. I had a fearful headache - Didn't sleep much. Jan 26. Tuesday Staid home today. Read most of the morning & made a valentine box & some French candy this p.m. Read "The Martian" tonight, too. Felt very headachey Jan 27. Wed. Slept better & felt some better. Went to gym tonight to practice. Played good basketball, all the evening, but got quite tired. Stopped at Ned's till after 10.
