come, so about 8 I walked down the Avenue and rode up to the
Cutler Bldg - where
Papa & Mama had gone before. The Cutler's
the Gilmore's & in fact nearly all the
tenants & their relatives occupied the front windows and we watched
the company's go up & down and then the big parade start (&
cheer us) & so on till it was past - about 3/4 of an hour. Then we
came home on Court St. bridge & saw half
of it again on Plymouth Avenue
(and the beautiful Illuminations!) and then I got Diana & rode to Troup &
Washington St. to see Kimball's,
Mrs. Ives &c. very nice & splendid - &
incidentally more parade! Home at 11:30!
Oct. 25 Sunday
Home - in the house all day - tho' it was a beautiful day. Got up late - read &c. & Edith spent the afternoon & staid to
supper. Later I went down to Mary's a few minutes - on my way to mail a letter.
Oct. 26 Monday to Oct. 28
Wed.
Lovely Indian summer weather. Doing a little shopping to finish up
my winter outfit. Stay home nights & read. Helped settle parlors
Monday (after house cleaning) and "chased a parade" on my wheel Wednes-
day - the 19th ward (upper Plymouth
ave.) The houses nicely decorated and the night beautiful.
Oct. 29. Thurs.
Still lovely & warm. Went to the rink to the Industrial
School supper tonight.
