After office at night met Mary & we went thro' quite a performance arranging to get tickets for the Rivals. Hired a messenger boy &c. & interviewed a nice man in the Western Union. Then rode up with Mary. Right after supper Rose Mills came & we rode to the Park. It was lovely - but not "gorgeous" like last night, we staid about an hour on the farthest seat on the hill, & had a nice visit. I like her. Finally we rode home at "dog howling time" again and she came in & staid half an hour or so. I found out later that Frank & Helen came up but wouldn't come in because I had company! May 21. Thursday Still a nice day - Some warmer. I rode over with Claude this a.m. & way out to Goodman St. with a note from Mama to Mrs. Webb. Walked home at noon. Stopped at Mary's We have seats in 4th row, our boy was #100 but bought out #32! So the seats ($1.50 ones) cost us just $1.95 apiece. Saw Ned & walked up Troup St hill with her. Coming back I used my
