join the L.A.W. etc. etc. It was dreadful
to have it stolen. I'd hate to lose Diana

tonight to show me some blue prints she'd been taking. She staid
quite a long time. Then I read.
Claude began his pen & ink class.

A very busy day. One of J.G's jolly & nervous ones. Was dead
tired tonight, Ned
asked me to come down, but I stopped to tell her no. Edithwas there but went soon. I staid
half-an-hour and we talked. Saw Rose as I was going. Spent the evening reading
"Minister's Wooing", which I finished. Also had a
chat with Theo and wrote. Dear
George Du Maurier died today!.

Took a ride down to Mary's tonight
and had a nice visit with her & Alice. Rode on down to
Ned's (by special invitation) between 8:30
and 9. Frank Davis was there and
came away soon after, when I did. Then I read etc.
