Such a busy day. The first of the month Monday - & Gilmore away J.W. going tomorrow! No time to think hardly. Rents coming in - cash - checks - 4 or 5 proposals to make &c &c. I did manage to shop a little and walked up Troup St. with Ned at noon. After supper Claude & I rode out to Sunset Seat in the park & saw the sun set in a perfectly clear sky. Then a cool breeze blew on us & we came away. Met Ned & turned around for a little chat on the river bench. Saw Gordon & his wife and coming out we met Nellie & Alice MacArthur & later Lura.
