on the grass a long while talking. Ned is quite impressed with Rose Mills, & it seems to be mutual. We came home by young moonlight. Stopped here a few minutes and then rode down to Curran & Goler's for phosphate. I was up very late. Claude came in from a sail on Lake Ontario to Forest Lawn. June 21. Sunday. A hot day promised, but it clouded over & was "comfy" indoors. I wore cambric & hamburgs - a la Johnstone Bennett (Claude says.) Ned came for me to go to the park, but I didn't. Lounged & read and I must say I enjoyed "Sentimental Tommy" hugely - & Anthony Hope's "Phroso" - 3 members all at once. About 6 I rode down to Mary's & had a nice chat with the 5 girls. Then started for home - but went up to the bridge - and almost before I knew it was trying the new Post Express Cycle patharound behind the pinnacle. Well, the shade & the view are delightful and the path will be - some of it is very new & not rolled. It is 2 miles from Mt. Hope to Monroe Ave. It will be fine, too! Came over Cobb's Hill in time to witness a beautiful sunset & finished it off on Davis' piazza. Didn't stay long, however, Mr. D.reclined in a new (& becoming)
