Apr. 27 Monday Pleasant day. Claude punctured his tire last night - the first time. I gave him some adhesive tape & he rode over on it. Rode down with Mary & she told me about yesterday. Her nose is all sun burned! Warren Cutler is back (He came Sat. night with Ned. I saw him at the station) but Gilmore isn't. J.G. is about sick (so am I) & didn't appear this p.m. Tonight I was early enough to stop at Ned's for a nice little visit before supper - Spent a tired evening writing & settling my room (but only partly) after house cleaning. Apr. 28 Tuesday It looked like rain this morning & did rain briskly for a little while, so I telephoned Ned & staid down at noon (it was pleasant enough then!) I ate with her & Edith& Miss Hall at Sibley's. Edith had an in- vitation from Mae tonight saying Claude & Ned & I were to be there. We weren't invited then, but John telephoned in the afternoon, so we went. I wore my new dress. Jno. & Mae are just settled in their home at last - first house - keeping - at #31 Churchly Place
, corner of Clifton. Otho & "Cora
" were there when we got there and afterward Jen Clements & Ida Orphie came & Edith & Ned were very late. We were inspecting the house which is "real secret" - when they got there. John had been to N.Y. again & he & Otho smoked and told stories as usual - about "an old fellow who drove a mule train at the second battle of Bull Run". &c &c. They are
