for there really was sun today - for the first time since Sunday - so Ned was able to take Mrs. Thomas' cat's picture. I rode down with Charlotte (looking at the shell of their new gambrel roof house, on the way) and went to Bick & Buck's & Ned's before office. Rushed around at noon - down in Humphrey's - to Mary's - to B & B's (where she met me) &c. and this p.m. just so. Met Ned & Edith on St. Paul St. & we saw various "Wilburs" pass. Tonight I waited for Gilmore to sign a contract. Then went to B & B's for Helen's negative's - to Ned's - & home. Got my pictures - last doz. Ned, Rose & Edith came up for Pedro tonight we played three games to the tune of cider, wafers & doughnuts & a great deal of laughter & talk. Dec. 13. Sunday Pleasant made prints. Was going to wheel to Davis', but the wind came up so I didn't. Went to Mary's before dinner & afterward she & I went over there via car. Had a nice call & cider &c. & discussed Xmas tree & photographs - joked about the lack of tumblers &c. Charlotte & Helen walked down to Lura's with us - wind in our faces & sprinklets of rain. Lura & Matie were out & Mrs. B. entertained us till their return. They insisted on our all staying to supper, so we did & it was real jolly. The Davis's went home first & then Mary & I - after some of the "Geisha" etc. I spent the evening at home - quite tired, too. Dec. 14 Monday Busy day. Shopped down town & dined with Ned & Edith. Afterward we walked up & went into H & C's
