pulpit. Young Mr. Evans, of Westminster who preached, was the most interesting handsome & magnetic, too, & everyone was delighted with his sermon. He's the E L Millard & Mr. Biddle style. After church & watching the football boys outside, Edith & I walked down to the store with Mary, to get a bundle (her pink silk) - Then I walked up with her. It was just like summer. Had time to sew a little more and dress before dinner (which was good) and immediately afterwards Claude & I went to the football game - on our wheels. Stopped at the Cutler Bldg. and had a chat with J.W. on the sidewalk - I'm fixing his invitation list for him - He showed me Miss Jenkins's picture Yesterday. We found Rochester making the first touch down. Amid wild enthusiasm - waving of flags and yelling & singing - no goal. They got the ball nearly down again when a Hamilton man (Finn) grabbed it & ran flying up the field his dark hair streaming behind. Such a beatific smile it was, with which he placed the ball behind the goal posts! They got the goal - Then Rochester got one & Hamilton a touchdown & it was 10 to 10 for a long time. Between
