Enjoyed it. We tried basket ball - Ned
& I were the captains and I made the first goal. It poured when we came across the bridge. The girls
put me on a car, but I was soaked, after changing shoes &
stockings, Papa read aloud to us.

went to see "For Fair Virginia" tonight - I was just in the
mood to enjoy it, and I think Mary
was - Charlie & Ada Townsend sat near us.
It was a war play. We found Mr. Whytall very handsome & a
good actor & his wife cute & nice & picturesque. The
little boy "Julian's" part was well taken & none were bad - We walked up home together - M & I - Very "chummy".

A rainy day - Staid home tonight & worked on Charlotte's pillow cover. Read, too.
Nov. 26 Thurs.Thanksgiving - Mild & lovely. Got up early as usual and
sewed &c. Took the standing collar off of my gym. suit. Went to church
- alone & with no wrap. Sat way up in front at the right &
watched the characteristic poses of the 8 ministers who sat in the
