Harvey was real funny all thro' - but he can't sing. We all came out more or less "in a body" and met Chorus girls & Conly

&c. going down the hill. Claude overtook me and we walked home - leaving the girls on the corner "waiting for a car". Sept. 8 Tuesday A beautiful day. Stopped at the Chamber of Commerce for letterhead this a.m. and interviewed Mr. Moss and saw the view. Busy day. Gilmore starts for Stony Lake tomorrow. At 11:30 I got on "Diana" and went up with Claude to see Laidley Harris's new house 3 Argyle St. It is certainly a beauty of a house all thro' and one that the boy may be proud of.
So elegant & convenient and tasteful and bright. I can't try to describe it. It made me late to lunch of course, and so tired out. I had to take the street car back to the office. I found cute letters from Margurite Perrin and Ruth Miller. Also one from Mrs. Reading with a little poem she wrote about Ogunquit. Very characteristic. She is at Lake Pleasant, N.Y. now and wants me to write to her again &c. Tonight after supper Ned came up for half an hour or so. She has been spending the p.m. in the park. & Rose Mills has been riding with Dr. Durand & was all tired - so she couldn't come up as she intended.
