&c., and left my bag, then walked up thro' the maze of
Boston streets looked into the Tremont
Building and the State House (first being closed
two o'clock) Went thro' the Common and Public
Gardens, stopping to watch the swan boats. Then went up
Commonwealth Avenue to Dartmouth St., which
turned out to be the one The Library is on. Crossed over and searched out
#124 and finally found Louise
Randall, very pleasantly situated at the top. We had a very
pleasant visit, ate an apple - lounged in the "den" (after inspecting the
flat) had a visit with
Howard, who woke up later, declined an
invitation to dinner, played with the cat, and finally walked down
town with Louise, Howard accompanying us to the corner. We
walked thro the Gardens again. The shops were all closed-it being Saturday
