and strolled over to a beautiful, narrow cove in the rock, where Wiltsie got scotch moss for "the widow" and me and Alice took some stunning pictures(!) of us. I only had one plate left in my dozen, to take part of the group on the rocks. The breakers were beautiful and the sea as blue and the sky as clear as possible. We sat and chatted and watched the breakers the entire afternoon - Miss Lowell went and took a bath & came back again. Miss Iles is good fun and Mrs. Reading just the same. Her "weird and wonderful" stories begin to pall a little - and her wiles! No wonder Wiltsie falls a victim now and then! But she can't help it, she was born so. The hills and dales, as well as the rocks & sea - looked beautiful in the clear sunlight. We walked back just in time to "wash up" before supper and after it Wiltsie took me down to buy me a pickled lime - the first I'd ever tasted - and I found he had invited the whole crowd.
