We walked down the road coming home, and found a pretty hilly view that way. Alice & Mrs Miller were in the parlor, the latter just disappearing We ate awhile - I mean a cookie - talked awhile - and then strolled off to bed - so sleepy - why it was almost half past nine! Miss B. tells me Mrs. R. is a widow. Her husband was a Doctor & sick some years before he died about two years ago. Now I turn out the light and watch the delightful scene How I do love it's roar already. Can I ever live inland or away from this lovely spot again! I shall burst with enthusiasm when I have really been in it's embrace. July 20th Monday I woke up at half-past five this morning, to find the sun breaking thro' the clouds & the surf booming in. Tried to take a timed shot at it with the Bullseye camera. Then shut the blind and went to sleep again. I did manage, however to get down before breakfast and have a spin down to the post office with film for Hovey. Met a Miss Iles from Providence, just in on her wheel and found her very charming indeed in her way She is an enthusiastic country rider.
