Burroughs - and I took the pictures afterwards, fixing the plates between two-steps & things - I danced some - Billy O., Backus, Bleloch (twice) and a last long waltz with Burroughs who sang "You may talk about your Mazeys" all the time. Everything went off with a zip & everyone seemed to have an elegant time. Smiling eyes & beaming faces. I had a "soiree" on the dining room radiator & some side issues elsewhere & sat out a dance with Con in the hall. Lura & Edith & I are not in the pictures. I think the rest are - Charlotte gave me a bunch of violets. Frank enjoyed himself & Ewers & DeGraff were hilarious. We walked home about two! Edith & the Dr. the Mac A's & Bleloch & Con & I. Warren Fisk & Burroughs went with the Rogers & Ned & Will had a carriage. Con thanked me for taking him. Me I'm afraid their was one who wasn't perfectly happy- oh! that tardy "Leftenant" - ! Mean- while Claude & some other Vagabonds were giving E.S. Williard a nice little supper after the play & having a very nice time with him. Claude returned after I did. May 1. Sat. Looked like rain & did some. Very busy - I wanted to go to the Matinee, but couldn't.
