Sunday A beautiful day - but breezy - Ned & Edith went to Coneseus & Geneseo. Helen Davis to Forest Lawn & the MacArthurs to Mumford. Con came up in the morning for me - but we hadn't got up till ten, so I promised him the afternoon & devoted the morning to neglected duties. After dinner - and about 4 or after we started off for the Lake by the Boulevard and it was a most lovely ride. We loafed & at Summerville had phosphate and watched some swimmers at the Naval Reserve house and then left our wheels while we went over to the Manitou car 6:15. Got the back seat and enjoyed the lovely ride as I always do. Con was funny and talkative and he amuses me too easy. We sat in a Summer house out over the water - after watching people fish awhile - and then came back (on the back seat) on the car which saw the sunset and the pink lights creep up & the little golden shafts come & go and the lake reflect the glory, most solemnly & the gray evening come and
