to Mr. Hovey - and Prof. Van Lear now pounds out music over J.G. & I. Stopped at G & McC's going home. This evening "settled" & hung pictures in both parlors & Theo's room - also, some, in Claude's & Mama's and mine. Then wrote &c. Apr. 11 Sunday Nice day - beautiful, in fact. Con was up to dinner. He had his new wheel. Edith was up to dinner too and we were quite jolly. Afterward E. went to Mary's & Con & I started for a ride. I found I had a puncture in my back tire and so rode (almost on the rim) down to Mary's & borrowed her wheel and went to the park and around the circle (little one) and then out Genesee St. to call on Mae & John. Had a pleasant - not - very - long call there and Con said Mae reminded him very much of Edith (his sweetheart) Stopped to leave Mary's wheel and had a chat with Nellie on the piazza. Left Con home & took the car to Lura's, where I met Mary & Edith, and we all staid to supper & walked home. As Mary & I were coming up Troup St Hill we saw a sort of a blaze & when we got to the corner found Fay King & Emma ringing the alarm box for Roby's house (a curtain upstairs). We waited, of course, to see the horses come & then came home (about 9) Con came still later, and we had supper. Apr. 12. Uneventful - house cleaning time - Gym. tonight. Apr. 13. Tuesday Rode today as usual but it began to rain this p.m. and I stopped for Lura & Helen Davis
