enthusiastic again. Oh! I wish I could go. He even said he'd ask
J.G. - The dear boy!
Jan. 15 Sat.Con says "Go" - and offers to go over with us! I don't know how either one of
them can get away with the Geneseo Court
House on hand.
Martha staid home today & I was very
busy. Only took a half hour for lunch. Went down to the Gym tonight
& tried that class - Not bad, either. Mrs. Davis was there & Helen nearly stood on her head at the prospect (?) of my
going. Con was here when I got home -
playing duets with
Claude. I didn't say that Thursday (13th)
I went over to Behn's in the
evening to a "musical" entertainment - & fortune telling.
Jan. 16 Sun.
A lovely snowy, wintry day. Staid home till night-fall - curled upon
the window- sofa reading "Vanity Fair" again etc. then
took a walk over to Mae & John's, but they weren't home - so
stopped at Cad's for quite a call,
coming back. She kept me till 8:30. Con came & he & I had a late supper together - sat
at the table over an hour, I should think - and then "did" the
dishes. He didn't go home till 11:30.
Mrs. Behn & Meta & Theo &
Frieda were in tonight.
Jan 17, Mon.
Lovely day. It looks as tho' Jenkins & Macy
were going to take our offices. I got tickets to Burton Holmes lectures. Tonight I spent home
reading
