catch the last car. Tuesday was Election Day & lovely and "Teddy Roosevelt" was elected Governor - but the returns were very doubtful till the last. I went down to the office in the morning & Mr. Lisle lent me a Columbia Chainless in the afternoon and I rode all over - in spite of the winds - To the dressmakers - & tailor's - to Mary's, May Vickery's (to take Reba a doll) to Mae Stull's (where I took off my things and ate hot baked beans & tomatoe sauce.) to Alice Jones' and then out Genesee St. to the park & all around the nice side paths. It was lovely - Hazy & green. I like that Columbia - It's a Lark of a wheel.

Wednesday morning J.G. & Mrs. J.G. & J.W. went to N.Y. and all day
10th
Wednesday and all day Thursday it poured steadily (broke the record - 50 hours continuous!) Thursday p.m. I had such a cold I staid home all the p.m. on the divan - Reading
