Apr 20th. Wed. Was about sick a bed today & as Gilmore was back I staid home this p.m - Sewed, tho' and got tired enough, just staying home. Apr. 21st Thurs. Lunched with Con at the Vagabonds today; Arthur Dodds was there. & talked about War, etc. Con invited me to go to the Musee tonight but I declined so he came up & spent the evening with me. Apr. 22nd Friday Rain - It has rained all the week, in fact - Gilmore had such a good time in Washington - He took 4 1/2 doz. pictures with my camera. Tonight I went over to Mrs. Weaver's to the Pedro Club. We began late - I had a splendid score, till the last game or two, but even then managed to come out one point ahead of May Townsend & got the opal for two weeks! It's reall pretty & we had oyster patties & coffee & a good time - It poured outside, but everyone was good natured. Mrs. W.'s. black cocker "Roxy" & I found quite a friendship - He's a dear of a dog - Chat & Helen coaxed for me to go home with them - but I didn't - needed rest. We had quite a jolly French lesson today - tho' Chat was "en mal heumor" - Aroix offered to take Frank's place, so we could go to Europe - I went
