and Nellie Mac and rode out to the Park.
It was just gorgeous. When I got home found Mrs.
Elwood & Con here -
on their wheels - & had a nice visit with them
May 27. Friday
Foggy this morning, but gorgeous afterward. Had our last French
lesson & Mr. A.
was as nice as he could be to us - and that's pretty nice. He's
going to write us a long steamer letter - and he in- vited us to
come down Sunday morning to a "Conversatione". Tonight when I was
waiting to go home with Lura, he came
down & walked a little way with me and stopped & talked &
really seems very anxious we should come. He's
cute when he laughs - His name is "Jean
Baptist", he says. I think he likes us.
Gilmore is very nice lately, too - in fact,
everybody is. Went to Lura's to a
delicious dinner - Talked to Degraff, as usual &
Helen Davis came in for coffee & staid
half an hour or so. Lura & I rode
out thro'
Oxford St. with her, and then came & sat on the
steps - in the moonlight - talking till ten o'clock. Frank
and Nellie Mac and rode out to the Park.
