beautiful new organdie - white and pink at 6:30. We stopped for Lura, too. There were 18 or 20 guests and I got acquainted with Mr. Phillips of Philadelphia before we went out. I sat between Will Orchard and Harold True. The dinner was very nice indeed and very pretty - Matie wore a wedding-trousseau evening dress, but looked very tired and Nervous. Helen looked stunning & so did Mary. We didn't leave the table till after nine, and went right over to Matie's for a "rehearsal". All was confusion & people, & Bob was quite a star. The carriages came at ten - & I was ready. Had a nice visit with Will who told me a good deal about Mrs. Harvey Ellis. Oct. 14 Thurs. Matie's great day - and a beautiful one - but quite warm. I left the office at Eleven and went to Mrs. Rose's to dress. Con came for me there I wore my black organdie. The house was full when we arrived & after having Bob squeeze my hand in the upper hall & saying goodmorning to Messrs. Phillips & True I went down with Con & joined the "12 P's" in the dining room. In a minute Mrs.
