and sat up late trimming a hat & sewing. Apr. 18th. Sunday.

Cyclom. 2700.
Easter - and a beautiful warm spring day - such a contrast to yesterday. Con came up with eggs while we were at breakfast & he was all arrayed in a stunning new bicycle suit - cap to shoes - & looked fine. Claude's wheel was in the repair shop & mine in the office, but Con helped with the dishes & I hurried & took the car over and we rode to the lake, oh! it was fine! Such wine-like air, and such spring-coloring & such fresh breezes. I enjoyed every minute - when we got to Summerville we locked the wheels & walked out on the pier & ate Turkish candy and watched the gulls & the water. Then came in I had lemon phosphate and "jollied" the life saving men and finally started back - but it was a sorry task. I had to walk up all the hills and the wind was dead ahead & rising & the street cars wouldn't take wheels. We got home at last tho' & "smashed" & had dinner & a little rest. Then I dressed & went to Mary's & she & Nellie & I went to our church, where were also Edith & Helen& Ned & Lura & Charlotte. The service was nice - We all rushed up to Helen D's for birthday cake (her birthday is tomorrow) & it was good
