door as "Sambo" & Mrs. A. was "Yum Yum". Next came "One Lung" (Mabel Rogers) & later The Davis - Mrs D, Charlotte ("Bettina") & Helen ("Pippo") & finally Mrs. Rogers & May as "Dolly Varden". Of course we had a regular frolic - I played with "Donald MacSchenshy" (Mary) first - against Willie Pifkow & Barbara. Oh, I forgot that

Mrs. O. H. Gretchen, One Lung, Willie P., Mr. OH. Bettina Pippo, Mary, Fra Diavolo, Barbara, Sambo.
Ned & Edith were already there when we arrived & very funny as an Irish bride & groom. Edith was simply ridiculously funny. We played 6 games - our final score - & Edith won the pin. Lura was real cute as "Fra" & carried it off well - & Ned - Nellie - May R. & I had a great time - one game. At Supper - ("One Lung" took me out) we all had Souvenirs at our places - "Barbara" a parasol - " Willie" a lantern on a stick "Mary" as school bag & slate, "Gretchen" a milkpail, "One Lung" a china-doll, "Donald" a "bag-pipe", "Pippo" as shepard's crook, "Bettina" a basket of eggs & a "Treatise on Mascots" which she read with great eclat. "Mr & Mrs. O'Houlihan" - an emigrant's bundle & carpet-bag, "Fra Diavalo" a gem, "Dolly Varden" a tinsel slipper &c.&c. There was a birthday cake for Helen Davis (26 yesterday) with 12 candles & a ring (which she got) & a thimble (which I did.) Then there were sandwiches & coffee & ice &c. and a great deal of talk & laughter & so on.
