Apr. 22. Thurs. Warm day. Went to Mary's before dinner & Ned's afterwards - with pictures, which I got proofs of today, and fruits of tonight! Con was here to supper and went riding with Claude afterwards. I went (late) to "Gym" but it was too hot to exercise much. Afterwards Ned rode up to Mary's with me & she sputtered about "having to entertain Nellie's fellow" &c! Mary & Ned both looked very pretty in silk shirt waists. I went to bed rather early. Apr. 23. Friday. Another warm day - Wore a shirt waist. "Prospected" at the girls places at noon, as usual. Tonight was lovely. Mary came for me right after supper and we rode to the park. Met Effie & Clark Suthard - looking well. Sat on a park bench awhile & enjoyed the soft cool damp air. Coming home Mary told me about Warren's strange fit of coolness toward her (foolish man!) Ned met us & Mary, invited us down. We said we'd come later & Ned came home with me & liked my room as much as Mary did - Con was here - wiping dishes. He & Claude were going to a cotillion at Powers Hall. We started him off first - to hurry home & dress & then find Claude's necktie and got him started. Then we rode down to
