Sunday A grate fire helped to make things pretty cozy home here and I spent a good deal of my day curled up on the divan reading "Dicky Davis's" story & article in Scribner's - finishing this in- stallment of "The Martian" and other epicurean bits from the magazines. Not till after supper - (sardines and such bread & butter) did I venture out for a brief visit to Mary - to eat an apple before their grate fire! Fay again in the parlor! Mch. 1. Monday It comes in like a lion - only a trifle above zero this morning - but up to 34 after lunch & melting at night. J.G. & J.W. both sick & J.G. only, down. Our busy day, Monday and the 1st and renewing leases &c. I hear today that Will Filmer has been sick in the hospital of scarlet fever - since Wednesday last! Hard luck. "Gym." tonight &
