steadily for 3 days, the first of the week - and then cleared off beautifully - so I could ride home - the long way - over Alexander St. canal bridge. Edith was up - in the rain - monday - And Con too. Tuesday was Wednesday - we all went down to Mary's & played Pedro - Edith, Nellie, Mary & I - & were jolly & I was on the winning side all the time. Thursday or Friday they came up here & played and we ate a whole box of Chocolate Merrier and enjoyed ourselves. I've been up to Lura's to lunch, too - twice - once that rainy day. Today (Sat.) it was very unpleasant too - black - but Con wanted me to go to Davis's to make our "party" call so I did. Helen had gone to "Puddenhed Wilson" with Harry Backus, but Charlotte & the rest were home and were entertaining, as usual. Nov. 7. Sun. A beautiful day - but windy this a.m. Nellie came up after dinner, & I went with her to Edith (on our wheels), while Mary branched off to Lura's. We got Edith and went up there - thru' diverse back streets, and the intention was to go Davis's later. But we didn't nor stay to Lura's to tea as we were invited. Mary had a puncture, so we all walked down across the bridge with her. She & I behind, visiting like old times. Con had been here with his brother-in-law, but was gone.
