Nov. 8. Monday Con's 33rd birthday! I was surprised indeed to find the infant was older than I. Mama gave him a birthday party, or dinner, rather, at seven tonight. There were - Mama - Con - Helen - Claude - Mary - Papa - Charlotte - "Harvey" - May & "George" in that order around the table - a turkey Thanksgiving dinner ending with ice cream & toasts - Con making a speech - with much assistance - even to gestures - from Harvey - who was as funny and jolly as could be. We spent the rest of the evening loafing around the parlor, talking - and the boys smoking. The "12 P's" and the Vagabonds seemed to like each other first rate - and the girls were most entertaining & the gentlemen very witty. Con brought a box of candy. I took a flashlight picture of the group and when Con saw it he wished he "hadn't been in the Amazon row" - Con went home with the Davises (we all saw them on their car) and Harvey & Claude with Mary. I wish I could remember all the good things that were said I annex a copy of the inscription on the dinner cards and my dinner cards - with the autographs. Mama was charming & looked so - as always - & Claude - was very "folksy" and "amiable" (see picture) & Papa entertaining as always. It was a "nice time".
