At C Street we found the house almost immediately & Will came to the door, somewhat in dishabile. Ned was sick in bed. We made ourselves at home & really had a jolly time. Will &Frank got dinner - "a. la. Camp Black" - poached eggs on toast, Blackberry jam" &c.&c. I set the table & cleared it away and we talked & talked - till after five o'clock. It was a gorgeous night & a gorgeous sunset as we went back to the falls (we didn't see the real "Falls" at all) At the station we saw Bert
& Hattie Brower & the Baby & finally went 'way down toward the bridge to get our train - in the press of many other excursion trains. Found a seat - most fortunately. It was really a beautiful ride home - thro' a lovely moonlight night the moon shining on the river and the lights twinkling in a
