I actually staid in bed till quarter of one today! Then had a
refreshing bath and a delicious chicken dinner and helped Mama some & then rode Diana down to the office to copy some
"poetry" of Nellie's on the machine for
her luncheon-card - left them there (with 28 blue prints) and then
came home to read & write this evening.
Tues. Oct. 12th
The "Twelve Perfects" first Anniversary
day, pleasant, but windy. I met Charlotteto go to Mary's
luncheon, and at the corner we found Helen & Will, just
returned this morning from NY and stopping at
The Powers. Had a little chat & all (but Will) rode up together. May Rogers was in the car, also. The girls
all came and the luncheon was very nice - We found Nellie's "All Brides" poem
on our plates which I wrote for her yesterday.)
Ned tried to look matronly, but didn't
succeed very well. We did not stay long.
Mon. Oct. 11
I went up to Lura's to dinner with her
and afterward to Matie's for a few
minutes only. Then walked home in the lovely moolight. Last night
(11th)Claude and I rode our wheel up to
Lew Jones (also by moonlight)
and called - Spent the evening, in fact I saw an awfully cute new
folding pocket kodakWed. Oct. 13th
Another pleasant day
and gorgeous moonlight night. Went home early to dress for
Mrs. Castle's dinner and Mary
came for me (we had a carriage) in her
