Another perfect day and not a half-holiday.
The Behns had a pole, raising their
new flag pole. This morning I went upstairs in the Cutler
Bldg & watched
Harvey, Claude & George - 3
Vagabonds -
working - putting up Japanese prints and French
posters for the Arts and Craft exhibition.
J.G. rode down on his wheel this p.m. (He
has ridden 199 miles since he got it!) and
Crump cleaned Con's & Claude's both
by mistake for J.G.'s. About 4:45
Gilmore
(in his new byke suit!) and I started out & I rode up the Avenue
with him and on thro' Culver St. & across the
widewaters
(stopping on the bridge) and to Davis's - where I interviewed Papa & Mama Davis
and was was invited to supper, but didn't stay. Then I rode thro'
the Highland Avenue
path (abouth 3 1/2 miles to the park) and it is
a lovely ride, no mistake. The part from
Mt. Hope over I hadn't traversed since the time I
came up that dusty hill on
Isabella early one morning - so thirsty! I
found Helen Davis & some of her
class in the park & had a nice visit, on a bench with her. Finally we
started for home, but I met John
&Mae
& the tandem
& the camera, on the bridge, and so I stopped
off and we gazed up stream
