Oct. 31st Sunday A lovely day today. Mary, Nellie & I rode over to Mabel's this morning, to get her to join us this p.m. We saw only May Rogers. We took a little turn thro' the Campus & the girls rode to East Avenue with me and then I went out thro' the Culver road to Davis's. Found Mr. & Mrs D. & Helen reading, and Charlotte came down soon and we had a nice visit. Hamilton is here looking at farms. I rode down to Lura's to dinner, as I promised. Chatted with Mr. DeGraff, and Helen came for coffee - & then Mabel. We all rode to Edith's where she & Mary & Nellie joined us and then had a most delightful spin to the park. The dying foliage was dark, but beautiful. And the priests were picturesque and the wheels rustled the dead leaves and everyone felt happy - the Lake was gray and lonesome. We sat beside it till nearly dark. Mr. Burroughs came and staid with us. The fall weather is beginning to make hungs nature look pathetic now - as well as beautiful. We took the 6:10 train home to a nice cozy family luncheon. Mary invited me there, too. Nov. 6. Saturday This has been rather an uneventful week, but I have lunched with the Vagabonds - and Mary & I have accepted Maude's invitation for Thanksgiving and it has poured
