I didn't - Shopped some. Got a letter from Hilda inviting me to Toronto on next Sunday & wanting us to meet her and "Allan

" at Hamilton next Wednesday. I had to write her "no" to both. Tonight I was in Scrantom's talking to Frank Davis about his raise of salary, prospects, etc. and Con came along and wanted me to go up to Miss Stowell's studio with him, which I did. She'd broken her teapot, so we didn't have tea. We found Mrs. Lampert-Cooper

We looked at Miss S's pictures & photographs & new camera. And chatted till after six - when I scorched home to baked beans, lettuce salad and delicious chocolate. Wrote &c. tonight. Nov. 21. Sun. Pleasant, balmy morning, but windy. Busy as usual getting ready for the journey etc. At about 1:15 I started over to Mrs. Bangs' & found her waiting for me at the window. We had a litle chat in her room before going down to dinner. I was all pervaded with Kipling's "White Horses", which I'd been reading & re-reading this morning.
