beautifully later. Sea Breeze is 7 1/2 miles from Davis's - down the Culver St. path turn at Bradford's (Con's accident occurred here) past the Forest House (about halfway) and straight on down. Mrs. Hoyt
and Grace Holmes went with us and we took ample time - and two rests by the way. Helen Davis & I rode without our hats most of the way. The path is much im- proved and is beautiful - especially the last three miles or so - one rides under the trees beside the grain fields and with whiffs of pure air from over the bay and fields of wild flowers the other side. We arrived at Crouch's cottage, at last- Where the Y.W.C.A were having a "Bicycle Tea" and had sherbet and cake &c. Cad & Frances Chapin were there - Bess Weaver, Rena West, Ed. Penny, Charlie Case, Jno. Wright &c.&c.&c. and everyone in "Knickies" or short skirts- according to sex. The grounds overlook Ontario the Beautiful - which was calm & blue Helen took us by winding ways thro' beautiful places & at last emerged on a point overlooking the lake - I regretted that my film ran out on Ned's "composition" of Edith & me - so I couldn't take the lovely hills & winding path & the spring. The vineyards and the woody roads - all beautiful. At the point
