Beautiful ladies with pink tights and tarltan "dust ruffles" as Con called them - Up-side-down and right side-up bicyclists - Clowns of the yellow kid kind & bicycle kind and Corbett & FitzSimons kind - beautiful trained horses and ponies and dogs - and 8 Elephants who went through a very wonderful and very funny quadrille- in perfect time and order - It was funny "four hands round" and "Grand-right - & left" - and balance to corners" & "first couple" so & so! Then "Ruby" stepped over her Keeper - It took her about five minutes - the dear - she was so careful - and they had jockey races and chariot races and japs juggling & balancing & all these other things - It was fine outside - A misty moon and the torches flaring and sweet, cool air. We walked about and watched 400 or more men - with perfect method - pull stakes - pile up "the bleachers" load & drive off huge wagons - and finally - when
