I got up intending to go to the office - but didn't after all. Claude took my messages and dear Con came up early to see if there was anything he could do for me. I wrote & fussed. Finished reading "93" this afternoon - a gory thing! Marycame up after dinner for a few minutes, and later Ned & Edith, to get me to go to the park, but Mama had gone out & a plumber was working in the bathroom so I didn't. The Behns were celebrating an anniversary & sent me flowers & ice cream &c. Mama came about five, so I got on Diana & went out to the park, but missed the girls who came back about then. I went way around the meadow circle - stopping on the river bank a little while. Then I came past the Baa-lambs - with shepherd
