Edith and then away down the avenue & over Burke's hill & down the cinder path. I had never been down the "Priests walk" and coaxed them to go. It was beautiful & a path all the way. We rested - Elaborately - And took pictures - at the end - tho' it was a dark day & threatening. It began to sprinkle as we started back & we simply flew that half-mile and rested in the waiting station by the cemetery during a shower. Then flew to the next stopping place - at the Ridge road - waited for a shower & pumped over the big hill in time to rest under a shed at Driving Park Avenue for the next. The asphalt was very wet, but our journey was prosperous to Edith's - where we left us but didn't get off. Another hard shower caught us half way up Frank St. asphalt & we were soaked by the twice we got to the little Lyell Avenue candy store - where we waited sometime & rode home happy - but wet - oh my! & bedrabbled. I shed Ned & then Con & merely gave my wheel a cursory wipe before shedding my clothes & getting on some dry ones. Cuddled up a little while
