weather since Wednesday - Thursday night was weird & foggy &c queer - a full moon - I rode out to South Park just about sunset

and last night I rode out University Ave., Culver Park & down East Avenue at the face of a glorious sunset - all black & gold and heavenly blue. After supper I went down to Edith's & waited half an hour for her - then met her as I rode back - on Diana. We stopped & discussed Ned's latest & I told her about our Sunday visit & she asked me to go & see Marlow but I decided I couldn't afford it - & told Mary so later, when she asked me - for I stopped there

ten minutes. However today when J.G. went to the Country Club I decided to go 25 cents - worth - with the elite in the upper gallery & so I did. Daisy Swan attached herself to me & we talked aboutMiss Taylor - till I'm sure her ears burned - as Daisy's must have when we discussed her
