my "gentlemen friends" & Claude has
been reading Character from handwriting - Edith's was fine
Miss Iles', Trudy's & Mary's were good but Ned's way off. I had a very characteristic letter from
Clara Allen
the other day - "went to Milan,
Venice,
Florence, Rome,
Pompeii & Gibraltar"
&c.&c. & wanting to hear "all about my trip"!
Con missed Hilda in Toronto - for which I am
sorry & so is he - very.
Mrs. Jones is no better - I'm so sorry
to say and Charella is back - looking
fine.

I can't go way back and remember things but I remember that Saturday
when I went over to the hospital and saw dear Sue and rubbed her head and her hands
and her wrists and her feet and put her to bed & almost to sleep
and kissed her goodbye and she said she "loved" to have me there -
and that was the last time I saw her - for they
