his heart got from some girl coming from
Duluth. Last Saturday I called on the
Willards at Alice Jones' - and on the
Stulls' - & the latter were over here one
night this week - also Frank Davis and
Mary has
been up and others. Mary seems herself again and is very nice to me.
Edith has been at Helen's on her vacation & Frank Davis wants me to go down when he
does. I had lunch with Freddie Monday
& with Lura today - she had got fixed in
her new little room. The girls sail for home on the "Kensington"
today - I 'spose they saw the sunset behind Dover
Castle tonight - oh, how I wish I was with them. Last Sunday I
loafed at home all day.
Claude has gone to
Oswego & Syracuse to
spend today, tomorrow & Labor Day. I have some new tires
on "Diana".
Mr. Aroix was up the other day and
I had a long long visit with him. He heard me talking French in the
hall with Mr. Harding, and said he "tho't it was
Mlle. Bonnet!". He is anxious to see my pictures
& he's getting very chummy with
Mr. Miner
, with whom I also had a long visit the other day. Have
been reading numerous "War Articles".
