A long time since I've written in my journal and the most important
thing that has happened is that J.G. & J.W.
are going to let me go to Europe with &
the Davises!!! Claude asked him & he consented last Thursday and I
lunched with Con at the Vagabonds & had a jolly time &
everyone wished me "Bon Voyage" and were nice. Mary
has decided not to go - for fear of debt (I offered to lend her
$100) Thursday eve.
Con took me to hear Marshall
Wilder
the alleged funny man, and Friday & went up to Davis's to tea and we talked
Europe and had a jolly time. Last week Friday
we had the Pedro
club at Rogers. Such a cold night and the night before, worse. Emma got the prize & we decided on
the ring with five opals - a beauty. Chat & I went to supper together. I've been busy
shopping, getting shirt waists made & a green ordinary jacket (sample)
and week before last Claude went to
N.Y.
& dined, Gellett Burgess at the
League
(the 10th) & lunched with "Bliss
" &c. &c.
& hob-nobbed with actresses & dirty poets, &c.
Con went down Saturday and Claude came home Sunday night. The first of
the week was stormy & cold. Today warmer. I've been loafing.
Last week I went to Davis's in p.m.
