Will bunked in the hall bedroom. Mary & Edith had the bed & I the divan (a cot) & slept like a Nov. 28. Sunday log till morning dawned & Ned came in all lovely & got in with me. We got up for a 9:30 breakfast & then loafed most of the morning - took pictures, talked - & Will "per- formed" - He calls Ned "Dawling" and "Peacherino" and she puts in his studs & gets his slippers & does many wifely - and unusual - acts. Has only seen one new magazine since her marriage and is actually economical & dresses to suit Will in preference to herself - A great change, the girls think - but I'm not sure. About noon we went to Will's office in the Gluck building and to the Post Office and then strolled over to Goat Island& the Three Sisters - hackmen chasing us half the way - we tho't we saw Nausen on the "Sisters" but are not half sure. The Horseshoe was very beautiful - with the beautiful frost-trees above it- fading - or rather brightening into rich greens & browns & out in the river a pale rainbow glimmered under the pale blue sky. It was dinner time when we started home - pausing to admire the Cataract House with it's quaint cupola & Spanishy roofs beneath & funny dormers turning to watch the falls. We went home by Sixth Street - with several fine old houses & some new ones (by Orchard, too) and arrived after the
