Nov. 11 Thurs. Another "rawther nawsty 'day - and the day of the great Vagabond Rally at the Bangs' house (see invitation). Of course we went - And the first thing I saw in Mrs. B

's boudoir was Claude's new picture (a good one - by Hoyt) in the place of honor. Those present were: Mr & Mrs. Bangs, Mr. & Mrs.Dean, Mr. & Mrs. Ellwood, Mr. & Mrs. McDowell (came late & went early) (Jno & Mae were invited but couldn't come.), Miss Mary Dodds, Miss Kate Stebbins, Miss Louise Stowell, Miss Bragdon, Mr. Ellis, Mr Humphrey, Mr. Bragdon, Mr. Dumont, Mr. Grierson & Mr. Howard. That's all I think of first Jno. Dumont showed his stereoptican views. most of them fine, Some of Poole's Japanese ones - some others & many of his own. They were colored & he was "jollied" & "Joshed" and the picture much commented upon. Harvey's remark on "The visit from Cupid" (a girl pouring tea for a naked little boy) was "under which teacups are your clothes" - a little boy feeding a duck was "Lohengrin's farewell to his swan" &c.&c. After that we sat about & talked and the men smoked & Mr. Dean played the symphony & he & Mrs. Dean sang
